Tools of Learning

Whether you are a teacher, a parent, or in any other way teach youth, please listen to this short film. You and I learned with the tools that were available to us. Tools that were familiar to us. The tools have changed. More strongly than even I ask that you consider closely how you interact with youth and consider carefully what limits you are putting on the tools available to them, those tools that are familiar to them. Re-Think

The university I work at has had a running campaign for a long time with the keyword 'think.' I wanted to focus on that word for a for a moment with respect to how the world is changing. Understand that current world leaders grew up in a world where inventory and capital were the resources with which to run companies, organizations, and governments. With that in mind, understand that the world has changed. The most valuable asset to any organization now is information. With current technology, the way we obtain, exchange, store, and consume information is changing. I purpose that it is time to Re-Think. Re-Think the world around you and how you interact with it.
